The UK advertising rules for alcohol are amongst the strictest in the
world. The rules are based upon evidence that points to a link between alcohol
advertising and people’s awareness and attitudes to drinking.
This course will explain the rules around alcohol advertising and help
you to understand where the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) draws the
line when considering complaints about alcohol.
Although the rules surrounding alcohol advertising are strict, it is
still possible to come up with creative, effective ads that comply with the
advertising Codes, and this course aims to help you do just that.
